Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 17 lineup on Tuesday, including a new ultra-thin iPhone Air model with a 6.5-inch display and titanium casing, starting at $999. The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 with 256GB of storage, while the base iPhone 17 starts at $799 and features a 6.3-inch display, the new A19 chip, and improved cameras. All models will be available on Sept. 19 and run iOS 26, which will be released as a free update for older devices on Sept. 15. Apple also introduced new Apple Watches and updated AirPods.

Lachlan Murdoch has finalized a $3.3 billion deal to take long-term control of his family’s media empire, including Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Post. His three oldest siblings — Prue, Liz, and James — will each receive $1.1 billion in exchange for their shares, effectively dissolving the existing family trust. A new trust, including Lachlan and his two younger sisters, Grace and Chloe, will now control Fox Corporation and News Corp, ensuring the media empire remains under conservative leadership. The agreement also ends ongoing family litigation over the trust.

CBS and the Television Academy have announced the presenters for the 77th Emmy Awards, airing live on Sunday from the Peacock Theater. Hosted by Grammy-nominated comedian Nate Bargatze, the ceremony will feature a star-studded lineup that includes Angela Bassett, Stephen Colbert, Jennifer Coolidge, Tina Fey, Jude Law, Jenna Ortega, Mariska Hargitay, Sterling K. Brown, and many more. The event will be broadcast on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Rolling Loud is bringing its renowned hip-hop festival to India for the first time, landing in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai on Nov. 22–23. The lineup features global artists like Wiz Khalifa, Central Cee, Don Toliver, Swae Lee, and Denzel Curry, alongside Indian rap sensation Karan Aujla as a headliner. Ralph Lauren has launched a new AI-powered chatbot called “Ask Ralph” on its U.S. app, developed in partnership with Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI platform. The in-app assistant offers personalized styling and shopping advice through natural, conversational interactions. Mimicking an in-store stylist, it provides curated outfit suggestions and allows users to refine recommendations based on their preferences. The brand plans to enhance the assistant’s capabilities, expand into new markets, and integrate the tool across additional partner brands.

Lady Gaga has announced a second North American leg of her Mayhem Ball tour, kicking off on Valentine’s Day 2026 (Feb. 14) with two shows at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The tour will include major stops, including return performances at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Tickets go on sale starting Wednesday through various presales.

Hollywood A-listers Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Hudson, Jesse Williams, and Michael Ealy will headline CultureCon 2025, scheduled for Oct. 4-5 in Brooklyn. Dubbed “the ultimate creative homecoming,” this year’s event is themed “Take Space” and will feature over 200 speakers, including top cultural executives. The main event follows CultureCon Week (Sept. 29 – Oct. 3), which includes summits, panels, and networking opportunities for creatives and entrepreneurs across various industries.

50 Cent has acquired the rights to the 2002 crime drama Paid in Full and plans to adapt it into a television series. Cam’ron, who portrayed Rico in the original film, is also involved in the project. The film is loosely based on the real lives of notorious New York drug dealers Azie Faison, Rich Porter, and Alpo Martinez.

ATHLOS revealed that ION will serve as the domestic broadcast partner for Athlos NYC, airing live on Oct. 10 from Icahn Stadium. In partnership with Scripps Sports, ION will not only broadcast the women-only track and field event, but also support the broader league through a multi-year deal. Coverage for the event will begin with a pre-show, Icons on ION, at 7 p.m. ET. The event will feature top athletes such as Faith Kipyegon, Keely Hodgkinson, Marileidy Paulino, and Tara Davis-Woodhall, with the league’s first-ever field competition qualifiers kicking things off in Times Square on Oct. 9.
