More Than a Vote, the non-profit organization founded by LeBron James in 2020, is rebooting this fall with Seattle Storm Nneka Ogwumike at the helm. As More Than a Vote turns its focus to women’s issues and reproductive rights, Ogwumike has recruited the likes of Brittney Griner, Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson, Cameron Brink, Chelsea Gray, and more to join the cause as she takes the reins from James moving forward. “We’re all following their lead right now, and Nneka is the perfect person for this election. I’m excited to support her vision,” James said about his successor.

Boardroom and 24 Hour Fitness are forming a strategic partnership that will identify key moments throughout the calendar year to create connectivity for community organizations and 24 Hour Fitness members alike. The collab officially kicked off earlier this month when 18 members met at a local 24 Hour Fitness for a basketball skills session led by members of Team Durant. Moving forward, fans can look forward to attending events alongside professional athletes and community organizations across a variety of sports, including a soon-to-be-announced clinic with Major League Pickleball’s Brooklyn Aces.

The Consumer Price Index rose 0.2% in July, which puts the 12-month inflation rate at 2.9%, the lowest since March 2021. This mark is right in line with expectations, as economists forecasted CPI ratings of 0.2% and 3% over that span. Although inflation has been on the downtrend for five straight months, CNBC writes it’s unlikely we’ll see a 0.5% interest rate cut from the Federal Open Market Committee on Sept. 18. Instead, a 0.25% rate cut is more likely.

The second half of the WNBA season tips off on Thursday, but the league is already looking to next year. After reports circulated late Wednesday, the W confirmed Thursday morning that the Indiana Fever and the city of Indianapolis will host the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. This will be the first time All-Star Weekend takes place in Indianapolis. The news comes on the heels of new data from the Fever, which reveals that the team has seen a 264% increase in attendance this season and a nearly 1200% increase in merchandise sales in the wake of Caitlin Clark‘s rookie season.

Thanks to an agreement between the actor’s union and AI company Narrativ, SAG-AFTRA members can now license their digital voice replicas for use in audio ads. Entertainers who sign up for Narrativ can not only determine their ad preferences but also choose their own rate for using their digital voice copy. Before using the ad, companies must obtain consent from members for every use of their likeness. In a Wednesday statement, SAG-AFTRA assured participants that they would be protected and paid fairly for their services.

Musicians will receive 100% of profits and can only take part if their merchandise rights are 100% owned by them. Latto is going on her first North American tour, and she’s taking Mariah the Scientist and KARRAHBOOO along for the ride. The 22-city Sugar Honey Iced Tea Tour is in support of the album she dropped on Aug. 9. The fun starts Oct. 25 in Tampa, and along the way she’ll visit Washington, DC, Toronto, and Seattle before wrapping up in Denver on Dec. 7. While the confirmed dates are for North America only, it looks like an international leg will be announced soon because the poster also reads: “Europe – Winter 2025, Africa – TBA, Australia – TBA.”
