Future, Travis Scott & Playboi Carti to Headline Rolling Loud Miami for 10th Anniversary
Organizers for Rolling Loud Miami confirmed Monday that Future, Travis Scott, and Playboi Carti will headline the music festival for its 10th anniversary. Scheduled to take place on Dec. 13-15 at Hard Rock Stadium, additional performers include Lil Baby, Metro Boomin, Lil Yachty, Trippie Redd, Tyga, Rick Ross, JT, Sexyy Red, Kodak Black, Lil Tjay, NLE Choppa, Bryson Tiller, and many more. Scott was one of Rolling Loud’s original acts in 2015 alongside headliner ScHoolboy Q, Juicy J, A$AP Ferg, Action Bronson, Curren$y, and Denzel Curry.
Meta, Universal Music Group Strike Multi-year Licensing Deal
Meta and Universal Music Group have agreed to a new multi-year licensing deal that permits users to share songs from UMG’s music library across Meta’s platforms — Facebook, Instagram, Horizon, Threads, WhatsApp — without facing copyright infringement. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the contract includes safeguards for “unauthorized AI-generated content” and also notes that it “expands monetization opportunities for UMG, and its artists and songwriters,” including short-form video. UMG became the first major music firm to license its recorded and music publishing catalogs across Facebook’s platforms in 2017.

Chappell Roan & Sabrina Carpenter to Perform at MTV VMAs; Date Pushed Due to Presidential Debate
On Monday, the MTV Video Music Awards shared the first round of performers for the annual show, which includes Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, GloRilla, and Rauw Alejandro. Originally planned for Sept. 10, Variety reports the network pushed the date back to Sept. 11 due to the presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. The show’s venue, New York’s UBS Arena, remains the same.

An average of 19.5 million people tuned in to watch the USA Men’s Basketball Team defeat Team France on Saturday, making it the most-watched gold medal game since 1996 in Atlanta. Additionally, viewership peaked at 22.7 million viewers between 5 and 5:15 p.m. ET, which was during the final quarter of the game. As far as other Team USA gold medal showdowns, the USWNT’s 1-0 win over Brazil earlier that day recorded an average of 9 million viewers between NBC and Peacock, making it the most-watched gold medal soccer game since 2004.
Fox is Already Close to Selling Out Ad Space for Super Bowl LIX
The 2024 NFL season hasn’t even started yet and Fox has “sold out all but a handful of slots of commercial inventory” for Super Bowl LIX, according to Variety. The network is reportedly fetching more than $7 million for a 30-second spot and brands looking to advertise during the big game must also invest in a promotional package that includes other Fox properties, including the MLB postseason. Super Bowl LIX will be held at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025.
