Joel Embiid to Join Thierry Henry, CBS Sports for UCL Final Coverage

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is set to join Thierry Henry and the rest of the CBS Sports crew for their coverage of the UEFA Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Dortmund on Saturday. Embiid has long been a Real Madrid fan and has tweeted about his favorite club on numerous occasions over the years. Joining Embiid as special guests of the coverage are former Italian soccer player Alessandro Del Piero and children’s TV star Dora, the Explorer.

T-Mobile Takes Over US Cellular in $4.4B Deal

T-Mobile has agreed to acquire fellow mobile cellular company US Cellular in a $4.4 billion deal. The purchase price includes a combination of cash and up to approximately $2 billion of assumed debt and T-Mobile will, in turn, take over all of US Cellular’s customers and stores. T-Mobile says the move will “create a much-needed choice for wireless in areas with expensive and limited plans from AT&T and Verizon.”

Timothy Weah Joins USL's Brooklyn FC Ownership Group

USMNT star and Juventus winger Timothy Weah has officially joined the ownership group of the USL‘s Brooklyn FC. Born in New York, Weah is investing in the club as a whole, which includes a women’s team for the inaugural USL Super League this summer and a men’s team for the USL Championship in 2025. Brooklyn FC is owned by North Sixth Group.

Weekly NFL Shows Dominate 2023-24 TV Viewership

According to the Nielsen rankings for the 2023-24 TV season when it comes to total viewers, the slew of weekly NFL shows steal the show. Leading the way as the most-watched TV series was NBC‘s Sunday Night Football, followed by ABC‘s Monday Night Football and Prime Video‘s Thursday Night Football in the top three. CBS procedural shows, Including Tracker and NCIS, took over from there, occupying the next four spots.

Fat Joe to Kick Off the 2024 US Open By Voicing Campaign

The US Open may not be until the end of August, but the annual tennis tournament is kicking off promotion by enlisting one of New York’s biggest voices, Fat Joe. The Grammy-nominated artist will be the voice of the US Open‘s newest campaign, Spectacular Awaits, which will begin airing on national TV on Friday ahead of ticket sales opening on June 3. Tennis’s best will head to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City from Aug. 26-Sept. 8.

Bad Bunny, Karol G Take Top Spots on Billboard Touring List

Latin music continued its global reign in April. In Billboard’s most recent touring reportsBad Bunny and Karol G took the Nos. 1 and 2 spots. Bad Bunny took in over $63 million with 14 shows, while Karol G slid into second with $45.1 million for 9 shows. However, the Colombian superstar’s average gross per show ($5.1 million) outperformed Benito’s ($4.5 million). In addition, the two are credited with record-setting numbers at the venues where they’ve been passing through.
