Drake is bringing his OVO Fest back this year, confirming its return during a surprise appearance at rapper Central Cee’s Toronto show over the weekend. First launched in 2010, the superstar artist hasn’t hosted the festival since 2022 when he reunited with Young Money pals Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj with additional performances by Kardinal OffishallShawn DesmanNelly Furtado, and others. Before that, the event had taken a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Salesforce solidified its push into artificial intelligence by purchasing cloud data management company Informatica for $8 billion, the company announced Tuesday. The acquisition will enable Salesforce to integrate AI into its products further as it expands its data management system. This is just the latest move made by Salesforce, which previously acquired Slack in 2021 for $27.7 billion, Tableau in 2019 for $15.7 billion, and MuleSoft in 2018 for $6.5 billion

It was a record-setting Memorial Day Weekend at the box office, with Lilo & Stitch and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning both opening to impressive numbers. The live-action Disney flick grossed a four-day domestic debut of $92.7 million, and an even better $361.3 million globally. For the final installment of Tom Cruise’s 29-year-old action franchise, it made a series-best $79 million stateside and nearly $200 million worldwide. Together, both features delivered the biggest Memorial Day haul in box office history.

Minutes after completing hosting duties for the 2025 American Music Awards at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday, Jennifer Lopez revealed that she’ll be headlining her own residency in Sin City. The Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live in Las Vegas residency begins New Year’s Eve week with four performances on Dec. 30 and 31 and Jan. 2 and 3. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer will also perform an additional eight shows in March 2026. Tickets go on sale June 10 at 10 a.m. PT.

Berlin officially made its case to host the 2036 Olympic Games, exactly 100 years since hosting the 1936 competition. Berlin sports minister Iris Spranger said that while the bid is still in its initial stages, Germany’s capital wants to put on a sustainable Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2036, 2040, or 2044, using its existing venues rather than building brand new ones.

The Nielsen ratings are out for the April reporting period (which ran from March 31-April 27), and YouTube has maintained its status as the largest share of TV viewing for three straight months, now accounting for 12.4% of total audience time spent watching the small screen. Disney finished second with 10.7% of viewing, followed by Paramount at 8.9%. Rounding out the top five were NBCUniversal (8.2%) and Netflix (7.5%).

Kansas City Current owners Angie and Chris Long are the latest to expand their soccer portfolio, announcing Tuesday the acquisition of HB Køge Women, a top-flight Danish women’s soccer club competing in the country’s highest division. Established through their family investment company, Ballard Capital, immediate plans include launching a women’s youth soccer academy in Scandinavia and making the club a recurring champion in Denmark, as well as a participant in the UEFA Champions League. 

EA Sports has tapped Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith and Alabama’s Ryan Williams to be the cover athletes for College Football 26, set to release on July 10. A trailer for this year’s version of the game is coming later this week. EA Sports is looking to carry over the success of the College Football franchise, which made its return to gaming consoles everywhere last summer for the first time in over a decade, finishing as one of 2024’s highest-selling video games.

The New York Liberty have identified the names of those who invested in the team at a reported $450 million valuation, including Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma and supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss. Others included in the limited partnership stake are Metropolitan Capital Advisor Co-founder Karen Finerman, former Chase CEO Thasunda Brown Duckett, Manna Tree Co-founder Gabrielle Rubenstein, and philanthropist Samantha Lasry, the daughter of former Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry. 

The day has finally come: After more than 50 years, bags will no longer fly free on Southwest Airlines beginning Wednesday. According to CNBC, the first checked bag will cost $35, and a second bag will cost $45. There are some exceptions, however. Anyone flying Business Select or those with high loyalty status will be spared the additional fees, while passengers with a Southwest co-branded credit card are allowed one checked bag at no additional cost.
