SZA, Shaboozey Headline iHeartRadio Titanium Award Winners for 1B Plays
SZA (“Saturn”), Shaboozey (“A Bar Song”), Sabrina Carpenter (“Espresso”), and more are the newest recipients of the iHeartRadio Titanium Award for recording 1 billion plays of their respective songs across iHeartRadio stations in 2025. A total of 14 artists received the honor, including Benson Boone (“Beautiful Things”), Teddy Swims (“Lose Control”), Doja Cat (“Agora Hills” & “Paint the Town Red”), and Jack Harlow (“Lovin’ On Me”).
Immersive ‘Top Gun’ Experience is Coming to Las Vegas
Paramount Global is teaming up with Advent Allen Entertainment to develop and launch a fully immersive activation based on its Top Gun franchise. Per Bloomberg, it will be built on an undeveloped site at The Strat Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip and is scheduled to open in Summer 2028. The experience will feature fighter jet simulations and a bar with live piano sing-alongs.
Boston Celtics Team Sale Reportedly Gets $1B Investment
The recent sale of the Boston Celtics is reportedly receiving a $1 billion investment from Aditya Mittal, CEO of steel giant ArcelorMittal, as part of Bill Chisholm‘s $6.1 billion purchase of the team. This stake will likely make Mittal the team’s second-largest individual stakeholder and could also make him the Celtics’ alternate Governor after Chisholm.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ & ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Release Dates Delayed
Marvel fans will have to wait a little longer for the newest Avengers films after the studio announced Friday it will be delaying both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Initially set for May 1, 2026, Doomsday will now hit theaters on Dec. 18 later that year, while Secret Wars was pushed to December 2027 after also targeting a May release. The Russo brothers are returning to direct the films, and instead of playing Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. will suit up as Doctor Doom.
Disney+ is the New Home of the Women’s Champions League
Disney+ will be the new home of the Women’s Champions League, reaching a five-year deal with the competition through the 2029-30 season. Scheduled to launch in October, Disney+ will broadcast all 75 matches in the tournament across Europe. This new agreement coincides with the Women’s Champions League moving to the same expanded format as the men’s competition next season, introducing a league phase with 18 teams instead of 32.
‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Set for May 2026 Release
The Disney sequel to The Devil Wears Prada officially has a release date, set to arrive in theaters on May 1, 2026. It was reported last year that Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt would be returning, but there has been no official confirmation on any cast members just yet. This was just one of Disney’s many scheduling updates to its upcoming theatrical release calendar on Friday, including a theatrical re-release of Avatar: The Way of Water on Oct. 3.
Kesha Founds New Platform for Music Creators
Kesha is adding startup founder to her resume after launching her newest venture on Friday — Smash, a new “community-based platform to connect and protect music creators.” The hit-maker, who started her own label in September 2024, explained that the platform will prioritize artists at each stage of music production, serving as a LinkedIn for music creators or a marketplace resembling Fiverr. Kesha is set to release her sixth album on the Fourth of July.
A24 Shutters Documentary Division
A24 has made the decision to shutter its documentary division. As a result, five employees will be affected by the move, though they will have the opportunity to remain with the production arm on other projects. Some of the docs produced by A24 include the Steve Martin documentary Steve!; Amy, which won the 2016 Best Documentary Oscar; and Stephen Curry: Underrated on Apple TV+.

‘Lilo & Stitch’ & ‘Mission: Impossible’ Take Over Box Office Previews
Memorial Day Weekend is a perfect excuse for movie-going, and thousands have already gotten a head start. The two blockbusters opening this weekend, Lilo & Stitch and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, produced sizable numbers in Thursday previews, with the live-action Disney film picking up $14.5 million and the Tom Cruise-led action flick earning $8.3 million, a franchise-best. Lilo & Stitch is projected to earn $150 million to $160 million over the four-day holiday weekend, while the final Mission: Impossible film is on track for a second-place finish between $75 million and $85 million.
