Ryan Reynolds’ business portfolio continues to grow. Earlier this week, he announced his expanded place in the sport of soccer as he and Rob McElhenney revealed their investment in Liga MX’s Club Necaxa. Now, Reynolds‘ investment firm, Maximum Effort Investments, announced that it is fueling the future of vintage clothing company HOMAGE. The Ohio-based company is best known for its products spotlighting local talent such as LeBron James and the Kelce Brothers. The brand has premium partnerships with the NBA, WNBA, MLB, and more, as well as Starter, solidifying its throwback cred. An executive from Maximum Effort will join HOMAGE’s board as the company provides strategic oversight to the plan in the next phase of growth.
AI Battles Heat Up with Anthropic's Newest iPhone App
Anthropic, the startup Amazon has invested billions of dollars in, is making moves in the AI race. On Wednesday, Anthropic, the company behind popular AI chatbot Claude, announced its first-ever enterprise offering and its first app for iPhones. The app, made available on Wednesday and a direct competitor to OpenAI‘s ChatGPT, is free for all users and will allow message syncing and the ability to upload photos/files from a smartphone. Anthropic says it is also working on an Android version of the app.

Williams announced that she is investing in Jordan’s award-winning tequila brand, Cincoro. Williams is just one in the all-star lineup of investors labeled as “Team Cincoro,” the brand revealed on Wednesday. She joins Derek Jeter, Dustin Johnson, and Kegan Bradley, among others, who have invested in the company. “Being part of Cincoro isn’t just about business—it’s about championing a legacy of greatness. … Just as I’ve strived for excellence on the court, I recognize the dedication and drive behind Cincoro and I’m thrilled to be part of the team,” Williams said in a statement.
H.wood Group Announces Kid Cudi, Post Malone Projects with New Media Division
The h.wood Group, led by John Terzian and Brian Toll, is expanding from hospitality into media with the launch of its production arm, h.wood Media. The hospitality company is wasting no time, too, announcing projects in the works with Kid Cudi, Machine Gun Kelly, Post Malone, and more. Per Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive on the news, h.wood Media is also directly investing in consumer products/brands and will focus on “budding mergers and acquisitions strategy” moving forward.

Peacock unveiled the trailer for the upcoming documentary Bronx Zoo ’90: Crime, Chaos and Baseball. The film highlights the turbulent 1990 Yankees from the inside. Featuring commentary from legends such as Don Mattingly, Bernie Williams, and more, the film documents a wild year that includes Deion Sanders, cougars, and various other trials and tribulations. The film, which is directed by DJ Caruso, debuts on May 16 on Peacock.

The entertainment mogul, best known for his scripted content, is teaming up with Endeavor-backed Asylum Entertainment Group to expand his unscripted footprint. The move will seek to bring “unique real-world stories to life.” In tandem with the announcement, Tyler Perry Studios announced Antoinetta Stallings as its new VP of unscripted content.
