KAROL G, Spotify Link up for Newest Barça Jersey Collab
KAROL G is no stranger to selling out a stadium. Now, the highest-streaming female Latin artist for the last four years running is taking over Barcelona‘s Red and Blue. Barcelona announced that KAROL G will be the most recent in their ongoing series of artist jersey collabs. The club will debut the jerseys, which feature the artist’s signature barbed wire heart logo, over the coming weeks. The women’s team will wear them for their Apr. 13 match against Villarreal, while the men will don the threads on Apr. 21 for the most recent installment of Él Clásico. In a statement, KAROL G expressed her excitement, saying, “The heart symbol represents what became ‘Bichota’ style, a moment in my life where I found strength, resilience and support. Thanks to Spotify and FC Barcelona, seeing it on the front of a shirt that inspires so much of that same energy is truly meaningful.” She joins Drake‘s OVO and the Rolling Stones as artists who have collabed with the club for a jersey moment.
