Iowa's Caitlin Clark and LSU's Angel Reese Face Off in National Championship Rematch Tonight

On Saturday, the LSU Tigers won in a late-game rally against UCLA, and the Iowa Hawkeyes beat the Colorado Buffaloes, setting up tonight’s Elite Eight rematch against the 2023 national championship teams. Though there’s much anticipation around two of the biggest stars in women’s college basketball facing off once again, Angel Reese made it clear over the weekend there is no bad blood between her and the Iowa star. “I don’t think people realize it’s not personal,” Reese said. “Me and Caitlin Clark don’t hate each other.” LSU coach Kim Mulkey expressed some regret that the game is falling at this stage in the tournament, saying, “We talk about growing the game. Didn’t that national championship game have the highest ratings ever in women’s basketball? You’re probably going to anticipate this one will, too, but it needs to be at the Final Four.” The winner of the 6 P.M. game will advance to the Women’s Final Four to face the winner of USC-UConn.

The NC State women’s team is also headed to the Women’s Final Four in Cleveland and will face undefeated South Carolina. The other half of the women’s Final Four will be determined on Monday following star-studded matchups, Iowa-LSU and USC-UConn.

OpenAI Testing New Voice-cloning System

OpenAI has introduced groundbreaking technologies in the artificial intelligence space over the last few years, but it’s hardly done. Late last week, the company announced it has given a small group of businesses access to its newest system, Voice Engine, which can apparently recreate any person’s voice from just a 15-second recording. Not only that, but the new technology can even recreate one’s voice in an entirely different language from the uploaded recording. OpenAI says it isn’t allowing access to a wider group just yet because it wants to detect any dangers (disinformation, criminal activity, etc.) before opening to the masses.

Tesla Increases Price of Model Y by $1,000 in US & China

According to its website, Tesla officially raised the price of its Model Y car by $1,000 in the US and China on Monday, with it now pricing in at $44,990. Long-range and performance versions of the vehicle will cost $49,990 and $53,490, respectively, although the long-range Model Y had already been increased by $1,000 at the beginning of March. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to interested Tesla parties, as the Elon Musk-led company said in mid-March it was going to be upping the price.
