UNC Star Deja Kelly Inks NIL Partnership with Tommy Hilfiger

Deja Kelly has inked a partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, making the UNC guard the brand’s first-ever college athlete ambassador and NIL partner. In addition to appearing in campaigns and attending Tommy Hilfiger events and activations, such as its recent New York Fashion Week show, Kelly will model the company’s newest looks during March Madness. Tommy Hilfiger will also partner with Kelly’s Annual DK25 Girls empowerment camp in the star’s hometown of Dallas and support her podcast, NILospophy.

MrBeast & Amazon Giving Away $5M in Prime Video Reality Competition

Prime Video announced Monday that YouTube sensation MrBeast has struck a deal with Amazon MGM Studios for his first show, Beast Games. In what the release describes as “the biggest reality competition series in television history,” the program features over 1,000 contestants competing for a $5 million prize, the largest reward in television and streaming history. “My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms,” said MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson. MrBeast boasts one of the most popular channels on the YouTube platform, with 245 million subscribers and counting.

LeBron James & JJ Redick Drop New Hoops Podcast

LeBron James and JJ Redick are starting a podcast called Mind the Game, a show that plans to be “a pure conversation about basketball” and will be produced by their two companies, LeBron‘s Uninterrupted and Redick‘s ThreeFourTwo Productions. Unlike typical sports shows that center around firey debates, James told The Athletic that this project won’t be “designed for internet culture and clicks.” To be as organic as possible, the show will also begin with zero corporate sponsors. The first episode drops Tuesday and is expected to follow a weekly schedule.

Caitlin Clark, Kiki Rice, Kamilla Cardoso Featured in ESPN Doc

Iowa‘s Caitlin Clark, South Carolina‘s Kamilla Cardoso, and UCLA‘s Kiki Rice are the subjects of an upcoming documentary from ESPN. Titled Full Court Press, the program “follows them as they steer their celebrated programs towards a national championship, all while navigating the pressures that come with representing the game during a pivotal era in women’s basketball,” according to the Monday release. Directed by Kristen Lappas, Full Court Press is produced by Peyton Manning‘s Omaha Productions and Words & Pictures in partnership with ESPN+. It will air on May 11 & 12 on ABC and ESPN+.

Sports Illustrated Gets 10-year Publishing Deal with Minute Media

Minute Media has reached a 10-year licensing deal for digital and print rights to publish Sports Illustrated, it was announced Monday. Financial terms were not shared, but the release confirms that SI’s owner, Authentic Brands Group, will take a stake in Minute Media. The revelation comes after The Arena Group, the former publisher of Sports Illustrated, told staffers in January that layoffs were coming after ABG revoked The Arena Group’s license to publish the longtime sports magazine. Founded in 2011, Minute Media is also the digital media company behind The Players’ Tribune and the FanSided blog network.

Cardi B Links Up with TikTok Food Critic Keith Lee to Try LA Burger

In a link-up that combines food and music, Cardi B teamed up with TikTok food reviewer Keith Lee on Sunday to try burgers in Los Angeles. The duo sampled items from Easy Street Burgers, a place Lee has said is a personal favorite. As for her thoughts, Cardi likened Easy Street’s jalapeño monster burger to a “fancier Shake Shack.” The smashburger received a nine out of 10 rating, with the Grammy-winning rapper claiming it tastes like a chopped cheese, the iconic sandwich from New York. As fans await her highly anticipated sophomore album, Cardi dropped “Enough: Miami,” her second single of this month last Friday.
