Meta Platforms has struck a major AI infrastructure deal with AMD, purchasing six gigawatts of computing capacity powered by the chipmakerโ€™s MI450 GPUs over five years, a transaction that could exceed $100 billion. As part of the agreement, AMD granted Meta warrants to acquire as much as 10% of the company at a nominal price, contingent on performance. The partnership bolsters AMDโ€™s push against Nvidia in the AI chip race, sending its shares higher on the news.

BodyArmor is replacing Powerade on the sidelines of March Madness as Coca-Cola reshuffles its sports-drink strategy. Acquired in 2021, BodyArmor and Powerade now sit in the same division, but both hold market share in the teens while Gatorade controls more than 60%. BodyArmor is pushing a refreshed marketing effort, tapping athletes like Jalen Brunson and Flauโ€™jae Johnson to boost awareness in a celebrity-crowded category.

Speaking of, you can add Kim Kardashian to the list of names getting in on the beverage craze, joining as a co-founder of energy drink UPDATE. The brand that promises focus without the crash is relaunching with new packaging โ€” which Kardashian helped create โ€” and a reformulated product, while expanding into national retail, launching in 4,000 Walmart stores with five flavors beginning March 1.

The 2026 Winter Olympics averaged 23.5 million viewers across NBCUniversal and streaming platforms, nearly doubling the 2022 Games and marking the most-watched Winter Olympics since 2014, according to the company. The event also set a streaming record, generating 16.7 billion minutes โ€” more than double the total of all prior Winter Games combined โ€” as Peacock drove strong digital growth alongside live and primetime broadcasts.

Salt-N-Pepa and DJ Spinderella will be inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame during the 57th annual ceremony on Feb. 28, honoring their pioneering impact on hip-hop and culture. This comes after the trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in November. The NAACP also announced its lineup of presenters, including Ryan Coogler, Sterling K. The Detroit Lions will play in the 2026 NFL Munich game at FC Bayern Munich Stadium as part of a record nine international matchups across four continents this season. The league also confirmed additional games in Munich (2028) and Berlin (2027, 2029). Through the NFLโ€™s Global Markets Program, the Lions hold marketing rights in Germany, where NFL Flag has grown to more than 110,000 youth participants.

ESPN and the Savannah Bananas have expanded their partnership with a 25-game exclusive package in 2026, the largest Banana Ball distribution deal to date. Games will stream on the ESPN app and Disney+, with select matchups airing on ESPN networks and ABC, including a first-ever national showcase from Autzen Stadium in Oregon. The agreement more than doubles last yearโ€™s slate, during which the Bananas sold 2.2 million tickets and averaged more than 500,000 viewers on ESPN, The CW, and Roku.

Waymo now operates in 10 U.S. cities, expanding its footprint through phased rollouts in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Orlando that begin with invite-only access before opening to the public. The company, which already exists in Phoenix, the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, and Austin, Texas, generates more than 400,000 paid rides per week and aims to reach 1 million weekly trips by yearโ€™s end.

Just Womenโ€™s Sports is launching Court Vision, a weekly womenโ€™s basketball show hosted by WNBA icon Angel McCoughtry and analyst Ros Gold-Onwude. Premiering Friday with full episodes on YouTube and audio platforms, the program will cover key storylines across the NCAA and WNBA, as momentum around the sport continues to accelerate.

Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan is expanding into publishing with his upcoming book How to Not Die in Prison, set for release June 23 via Simon & Schuster. The move comes as he transitions from Paramount โ€” which used to own Simon & Schuster and where Sheridan remains under a film deal through next month โ€” to NBCUniversal under a new long-term agreement that could reportedly make him up to $1 billion.
