The Songwriters Hall of Fame announced Wednesday that Taylor Swift will be inducted as part of the Class of 2026, making her one of the youngest honorees ever at age 36 and the second-youngest living inductee after Stevie Wonder. The class also includes Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss, Kenny Loggins, Alanis Morissette, and Christopher “Tricky” Stewart. Swift qualifies because her debut single, “Tim McGraw,” was released in 2006, making it 20 years old. The HOF ceremony is set for June 11 in New York City.

The Athletic reports that Manchester United have agreed to a deal with Lionsgate to develop a dramatized series retelling the club’s history, though the project is still in early development and has not yet been written or sold. The concept is likened to The Crown, with United set to receive a guaranteed low multi-million-pound payment if produced, plus shared royalties tied to its success. British writer and director Jed Mercurio, known for Bodyguard and Line of Duty, has been involved in discussions as he is a lifelong United fan.

Reebok has signed Grammy-winning artist Karol G to a new multi-year partnership as its latest global brand ambassador, coinciding with the relaunch of its Classics collection for a new era. Karol G will lead the brand’s storytelling and star in the “Born Classic. Worn for Life.” campaign, calling the deal a “full circle moment.” The partnership aligns with Reebok’s revamp of its Classics lifestyle sneakers, with the spring/summer 2026 collection launching on Feb. 18 and priced between $75 and $85.

TBS has handed Foul Play with Anthony Davis a full-season order of 16 half-hour episodes following the success of a February 2025 special. The prank series, which premieres April 6 after the college men’s basketball national championship, marks TBS’s first series order since the reboot of The Joe Schmo Show and joins a small slate of originals that includes Impractical Jokers. The show follows Davis as he challenges elite athletes to pull off elaborate pranks while revealing how the stunts are planned and how they can quickly unravel.

All eight nominees for Best New Artist will perform on the 2026 Grammy Awards telecast, marking the second consecutive year every nominee in the category appears on “Music’s Biggest Night.” The performers are Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, sombr, and The Marías, joining previously announced performer Sabrina Carpenter, a nominee last year. Thomas leads the group with six nominations, including Best R&B Performance for a live version of his hit “Mutt.”

Sinclair’s AMP Sports is launching Cousins, a new weekly video podcast hosted by NBA legends Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady, who are former Raptors teammates and real-life cousins. Premiering Jan. 28, the show will break down current games, share behind-the-scenes stories, and feature guests at the intersection of basketball and culture. Carter and McGrady boast a combined 15 All-Star selections, over 45,000 career points, and are Hall of Fame inductees.

Amazon has launched Health AI, an artificial intelligence healthcare assistant for members of its One Medical primary care service. Powered by large language models from Amazon Bedrock, the tool answers health questions, offers personalized guidance based on medical records, helps manage medications, and can book appointments. Amazon emphasized that Health AI does not provide diagnoses or treatment, does not replace doctor visits, and that conversations are not added to patients’ medical records.

Alix Earle and her family will star in a new Netflix reality series debuting in 2026 that follows the influencer, her sister Ashtin, and their inner circle as it documents the “real-time messiness” of her life in transition. Earle, who hosts a new YouTube series called Get Real With Me, previously appeared on Dancing With the Stars and Happy Gilmore 2, and rose to fame through viral “get ready with me” videos while a student at the University of Miami. Since then, she has built a growing business empire as an internet celebrity and strategic investor.

Vox Media is partnering with Gotham FC and U.S. Women’s National Team star Midge Purce on a new weekly video podcast launching this spring. The series will focus on athlete-led, peer-to-peer conversations that explore identity, ambition, resilience, and the mental demands of elite performance rather than game recaps or headlines. The show will join Vox Media’s expansive podcast network, alongside athlete-driven titles such as A Touch More, Bird’s Eye View, Pretty Tough, and Not Just Football.

Netflix is launching a new interactive voting feature that lets users engage with live content, debuting with the livestreamed talent show Star Search that premiered this week. Viewers can vote via multiple-choice selections or five-star ratings using either their TV remote or the Netflix app, with votes counted in real time worldwide. Voting will be time-limited, meaning only viewers watching live can participate.
