Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey is the latest NBA star to get his own signature sneaker with New Balance, expected to debut later in 2026, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. He will join Kawhi Leonard as the only other player to have a signature shoe with New Balance, a brand Maxey has been with since 2023. Maxey, who was just voted an All-Star starter, is in the middle of his best season as a pro, averaging career-highs across the board, including ranking third in the league with 30.2 points per game.

Itโ€™s impossible to talk about fashion without mentioning Valentino. The Italian designer behind the luxury house, Valentino Garavani, has died at 93, his foundation announced Monday. Alongside Giorgio Armani, who died last September, and Karl Lagerfeld, who passed in 2019, Valentino represented a fading era when fashion was led by creative vision rather than the corporate machinery that now defines the industry. The funeral will be held in Rome on Friday.

Netflix has revised its bid for Warner Bros. Discoveryโ€™s studio and streaming assets to an all-cash $82.7 billion offer, valuing WBD at $27.75 per share and earning unanimous board support to counter Paramount Skydance. Netflix said the structure removes market risk and accelerates a shareholder vote expected by April, while analysts note the move shifts the contest toward certainty and speed, with regulatory scrutiny still being the biggest hurdle.

A second, smaller Sphere venue is being planned for outside Washington, D.C., marking the first time the concept would be built at a reduced scale. The proposed 6,000-seat venue in National Harbor would mirror the Las Vegas Sphere โ€” a giant exterior LED display, a 16K interior screen, immersive audio, and 4D effects โ€” while relying on a mix of public and private funding that includes an estimated $200 million in incentives. Developers expect the project to generate roughly 2,500 construction jobs, nearly 4,750 permanent positions, and more than $1 billion in annual economic impact for the region.

Angel Reese is adding to her acting rรฉsumรฉ, landing a “co-starring role” as Trainer Barbie in Season 2 of Netflixโ€™s The Hunting Wives. The WNBA All-Star previously appeared in the feature film A House of Dynamite and told People afterward that she planned to work with an acting coach. Production on the showโ€™s second season is currently underway.

Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment will host the fourth edition of its Business of Womenโ€™s Sports Summit on April 14. Founder and CEO Laura Correnti said the annual event, which has sold out in the past two years, now reflects an industry that has moved beyond validation and into long-term growth. This yearโ€™s summit will center on preparing womenโ€™s sports businesses for their next phase of maturity, with Swin Cash, Sue Bird, Jemele Hill, Cari Champion, Ashlyn Harris, and more scheduled to speak.

Soccer wunderkind Lamine Yamal has signed with American Eagle as a global brand ambassador as part of a five-year partnership. Coinciding with the 2026 World Cup, Yamal will begin appearing in AE global campaigns this summer and will also take part in limited-edition product drops. This is the latest off-the-field move for the Barcelona 18-year-old star, who signed a deal with Adidas last year, with Yamal recently appearing as the face of the F50 model.

Fresh off the release of his first album in eight years, Donโ€™t Be Dumb, A$AP Rocky has unveiled the itinerary for his accompanying world tour. The 42-date run kicks off May 27 in Chicago, spans major cities across North America and Europe, and wraps up with a final stop in Paris on Sept. 30. The tour marks Rockyโ€™s most extensive live outing in nearly a decade and his first major global trek since 2019.
