Officially a month before Super Bowl LIX, EA Sports revealed on Thursday its all-star list of performers for its Madden Bowl event taking place two days before the big game. Taking the stage at the Orpheum Theater are Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, and more. The event will also introduce rising country star, Tucker Wetmore. The Madden Bowl will crown the Madden NFL Championship Series champion on Feb. 7 when the top Madden NFL 25 players compete for their share of $1 million in total prize money.

The WNBA is heading north in 2026. As the Toronto Tempo prepares to make its league debut, the franchise enlisted its first official partner, teaming up with Sephora Canada. As part of the multi-year arrangement, the beauty retailer’s logo will adorn Tempo jerseys and the partnership will extend through integrated marketing campaigns that include community programming, retail activations, social media announcements, and in-arena signage. “The impact of this historic partnership will be felt across Canada for years to come,” said Tempo President Teresa Resch about the collaboration.

When Frances Tiafoe takes the court this weekend in pursuit of an Australian Open title, he’ll be dressed in lululemon as the apparel brand’s newest ambassador. The 3-time ATP title winner, currently world No. 17 in the ATP ranking, joins Leylah Fernandez as the two professional tennis players on lululemon’s ambassador lineup. Per the announcement, Tiafoe will work with the Vancouver-based company to consult, test, and share feedback on new performancewear and product designs. Tiafoe was previously signed with Nike.

Netflix’s inaugural live broadcast of WWE Monday Night Raw proved to be an immense success, drawing 4.9 million views worldwide, according to VideoAmp. Of that, 2.6 million came from the United States alone. Prior to its Netflix move, Raw aired its final episode on USA Network on Dec. 30 and from the beginning of October until then, pulled an estimated 1.65 million viewers per week. WWE’s 10-year deal with Netflix is reportedly worth $500 million per year. 

Zheng Qinwen is Dior’s newest global brand ambassador, WWD exclusively revealed Thursday. The first Asian tennis player to win gold in singles at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, Zheng went pro in 2019 and is currently ranked No. 5 in the world in the WTA rankings. In a statement praising the Chinese-born pro, Dior said Zheng “embodies the elegance and boldness of Dior style, a femininity in perpetual motion.”

For the first time in the event’s 16-year history, the NHL‘s Winter Classic will be headed to South Florida. The league confirmed Wednesday that reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers will face the New York Rangers on Jan. 2, 2026, at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins. This is the first of two outside pro hockey contests Florida will host next year. The NHL will return to Florida less than one month later as the Tampa Bay Lightning will play the Boston Bruins at Raymond James Stadium as part of the NHL’s Stadium Series on Feb. 1.

Following the success of Amazon’s Election Night special on Prime Video hosted by Brian Williams, Variety reports the company is exploring more news concepts on its streaming platform. The Nov. 5 broadcast recorded about four million viewers, topping the 3.61 million CBS News drew on average but lower than what MSNBC, ABC News, NBC, and CNN all captured. While conversations are still ongoing, programming is expected to include news specials surrounding major events.
