Darren Rovell Discusses Trading Card Boom

Darren Rovell, a senior executive producer at the Action Network and a well-known figure in the sports business community, joined the “Sports Illustrated Media Podcast” to discuss the trading card industry explosion

In the interview with host Jimmy Traina, he explains some of the reasons behind the boom and also areas within the collectible industry that some may be surprised to see value in, like vintage video games.

“You’d rather have played Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! than saved it?” Rovell said. “A Mike Tyson Punch Out!! sealed, is in the $100,000 range.”

Rovell and Traina cover just about everything in the nearly hour-long episode, which can be heard here
