Converse fans will get another crack at 2021’s finest, including the A-COLD WALL and Peace & Unity collection Chucks.
To cap what has already been a strong calendar year, Converse is rolling out a series of restocks of its most coveted collections, capsules, and collaborations from 2021.
Fans will have a second chance at sneaker standouts like the A-COLD-WALL lugged boot in black from last winter, along with light brown and camo looks of Carhartt’s “Work In Progress” editions of the Chuck Taylor 70.
A four-shoe pack dubbed the “Peace and Unity” collection will be the second set to drop, with graphics evoking togetherness, community, hope, and positivity splashed across brand classics like the Chuck Taylor and Pro Leather, and new models like the Jet basketball shoe and remixed Weapon CX.
For nearly a decade, the longtime Comme des Garçons “PLAY” editions of the Chuck Taylor have been a brand staple, leading to one of the most successful collab series in company history. On Dec. 8, eight variations of the simple heart logo-adorned CDG Chucks will return in four shades, with each available in Low and High top cuts.
To round out the launch lineup, the second batch of “Chase The Drip” releases on Dec. 14, featuring NBA headliners Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Kelly Oubre Jr. It follows up on their Chuck Taylor offerings from earlier this fall.
Atop SGA’s elevated pair of the Pro Leather Ox lies a quilted leather upper with excess overlay overhangs, gold foil lettering, floral graphic lining, and lilac accenting along the outsole.
The first NBA player to sign with Converse as part of their NBA relaunch in 2018, Oubre Jr.’s pair of the Pro Leather Mid features a mix of patchwork-inspired paneling that channels his love for multi-material looks and thrifting.
Wedged in between the prior beloved pairs and upcoming player-designed launches is what Converse is simply calling a “Surprise Restock” for Dec. 3 — a re-offering of a “hallmark collaboration” that’ll be launched in shock drop fashion.
