New Balance Unveils Coco Gauff Apparel Collection Ahead of US Open

Debuting Thursday, the all-new drop is inspired by 1990s flair, street art, and New York City.

Ever since bursting onto the scene as a 14-year-old prodigy three years ago, American tennis star Coco Gauff has continued her impressive run on the WTA Tour, remaining the youngest player ranked in the top 100.

Now ranked 23rd and rising — that’s just one spot below Serena Williams — the 17-year-old Florida native carries serious momentum into the 2021 US Open, which starts Monday in Queens. And in anticipation of the year’s final Grand Slam event, New Balance released its Coco Gauff Collection through an exclusive partnership with Foot Locker Women.

Inspired by her love of the 1990s, the energy of New York City, graffiti, and street art, the Gauff apparel collection prominently features bold colors and oversized silhouettes.

The collection is available on the official Foot Locker and New Balance websites starting Thursday.

“I loved working with the design team on the inspiration boards and seeing it fully come to life at the photoshoot was a dream come true,” Gauff said. “I wanted to push it with the graphics and fit of the collection so I am pumped to finally see it in-store and let fans get their hands on it.”

The collection will feature windbreakers, joggers, fitted, shorts, tops, and graphic tees in addition to New Balance’s 327 lifestyle footwear model.

“Coco is an exceptional young woman on and off the court,” said Brittany Branch, New Balance’s senior product manager for global lifestyle apparel. “We wanted to make sure that the same excitement Coco brought to all our design meetings was reflected in her collection and we are thrilled to see the product come to market while she is playing in New York.”

Suggested retail prices for the Gauff collection ranges from $35 for the graphic tee, $100 for the windbreaker, and $89.99 for the shoes.
