As the King of Diamonds series continues, the Royals’ star shortstop sits down with Greydy Diaz to discuss his love of trading cards, being one of baseball’s most electrifying players, and more.
Bobby Witt Jr. isn’t just a great player; he’s a historic one.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the star shortstop for the Kansas City Royals became the first player in MLB history to record 20 home runs and steal 30 bases in each of his first four major league seasons. And this is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he gave the Yankees’ Aaron Judge a run for his money in the American League MVP race after leading the league in batting average to go with his Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards.
As rare as his game is, so are his hobbies. In the second episode of Under Armour’s King of Diamonds series, Royals slugger and Under Armour athlete Bobby Witt Jr. joins host Greydy Diaz at Kansas City’s Art of Sports to talk about his passion for trading cards, his epic All-Star Game start, and what it means to be one of baseball’s most exceptional talents.

Tune in each week in September for a new episode with some of the MLB’s most exciting talent. The series delivers a bold new take on athlete interviews by pairing unfiltered conversations as players flex their off-field skills.
