Andre Iguodala Business Portfolio: Zoom, Leeds United, Bay FC, Mosaic & More

As Andrew Iguodala calls it a career and pivots to life after basketball, Boardroom takes a closer look at his growing portfolio of business and investment ventures.

Andre Iguodala is calling it a career after nearly two decades in pro hoops. As the four-time NBA champion told Andscape in making things official on Oct. 20, “It’s just the right time.”

“Time started to get limited for me and I didn’t want to put anything in the back seat,” the 39-year-old explained to Marc J. Spears. “I didn’t want to have to try to delegate time anymore. Especially with on the court, off the court with family. A lot.”

To say Iguodala has reached Hall of Fame status is an understatement. The Philadelphia 76ers selected him with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. After an eight-year stint in the City of Brotherly Love, Iguodala spent one year with the Denver Nuggets before signing with the Golden State Warriors as a free agent. Iguodala was a part of the Warriors’ dynasty run that made five consecutive trips to the NBA Finals, winning three. For the team’s first victory in 2015, Iguodala was named Finals MVP.

He logged two campaigns (2019-20, 2020-21) with the Miami Heat before returning to the Bay Area for the final two seasons of his career.

As for what’s next, Iguodala will helm Mosaic, a $200 million venture capital fund that he just raised with longtime business partner, Rudy Cline-Thomas. The former Arizona Wildcat has made a significant number of investments over the course of his career, backing companies like Zoom and sports teams like English football’s Leeds United and NWSL upstart Bay FC.

Expect Iggy to pick up the pace even more in retirement — let’s take a closer look at Andre Iguodala’s business portfolio.
