Phoenix Suns Unveil New Uniforms Ahead of 2023-24 NBA Season

The Phoenix Suns unveiled their new Nike Icon and Association Edition uniforms for the upcoming NBA season on Tuesday morning. The purple and white threads are a modernization of the classic sunburst uniform from the early 1990s coupled with design notes of the previous Icon and Association Edition uniforms first introduced in 2017. Both Icon and Association Edition uniforms feature a streaking sunburst with an embroidered Suns wordmark above stitched drop shadow numbers. As a tribute to the past, the shorts boast an asymmetrical design with the Phoenix wording. The team’s primary icon logo centered on the beltline completes the look.

The jerseys are available for purchase at the team store at Footprint Center and online at shop.suns.com.

Adidas, Manchester United Agree to Record-breaking Deal in Renewed Pact

Manchester United and Adidas are extending their apparel-sponsorship pact in a record-breaking £900M ($1.2 billion) deal that lasts for another decade. In an official statement, United Chief Executive Officer Richard Arnold said the Adidas alliance “is one of the most iconic in world sport, forged through a shared commitment to style, flair and, most importantly, high performance.” Of course, the apparel and footwear brand will continue outfitting the club in match day and training gear, but now there’s an increased focus on Man United women’s team and providing them with new merchandise.

Adidas and United’s partnership first began in 2015, when the Three Stripes after the 13-time Premier League champions signed a £750M deal the year before.

Mark Jackson Out, Doc Rivers In on Revamped 'NBA on ESPN' Team

More changes are coming to ESPN‘s NBA coverage. First reported by Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, the network is set to promote beloved analyst Doris Burke to the NBA Finals broadcast team, hiring former Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers to join her in the booth. Meanwhile, Mark Jackson — who was on a second stint with ESPN since 2014 — was let go, per the report.

Rivers’s arrival follows a summer overhaul of sorts, with longtime analyst Jeff Van Gundy, among others, being let go in June. Rivers was let go by the Sixers earlier this offseason after losing in the conference semifinals for the third straight season. Marchand mentioned that the team owes him “$16 million over the next two years.”

Hypothetical Zuckerberg vs. Musk Fight May Never Come to Fruition

One of the most talked about hypothetical cage fights might not ever see the light of day. In exclusive audio obtained by Reuters, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he’s “not sure if it’s going to come together” when addressing a potential fight between him and Twitter (errrr … X) owner Elon Musk during a recent company town hall. Although Zuckerberg didn’t completely dismiss the idea of the match ever happening, his blunt response suggests any conversation that has been had about setting such an event up has not progressed to a serious point. There’s been no word from Musk since Zuck delivered the news to his staff, but perhaps this gives Musk more time to sort out the kinks of the company’s rebrand.
