After Binance backed out of their anticipated purchase of the crypto exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried announced that he was stepping down as the company’s CEO and that the company would file for bankruptcy. FTX experienced high levels of suspicious activity, leading many to believe it had been hacked. Over $473 million went missing on Friday night via “suspicious transfers.” Additionally, Miami-Dade County revealed that it would remove FTX as the naming rights sponsor for the Heat’s home arena.
