Braves Blank Astros, 2-0

It was an electric night at Truist Park in Atlanta on Friday as the hometown team posted a 2-0 win, taking a 2-1 series lead over the Astros. Rookie right-hander Ian Anderson continued his postseason dominance, throwing five no-hit innings. Catcher Travis d’Arnaud sealed the win with an eighth-inning blast. Houston looks to even the series in Game 4, which takes place today at 8:09 p.m. EST.

Valued at $8B, BodyArmor on the Verge of Coca-Cola Buyout

Reports indicate that the hydration company, which was founded in 2011, is on the verge of being purchased by Coca-Cola at an $8 billion valuation. Kobe Bryant was the first major athlete to endorse the brand, buying a 10% stake in 2014. Since then, they have amassed a deep bench of ambassadors, including Megan Rapinoe, Mike Trout, and James Harden. Body Armor also announced on Friday that they’ve tapped Jennifer Lopez to join their all-star lineup.

LeBron Back in Action, Lifts Lakers Over Cavs, 113-101

On the 18th anniversary of his first NBA game, LeBron James rejoined the Lakers lineup on Friday to face off against his former team. James posted 26 points, just one more than his debut drop, in 38 minutes on the floor helping the Lakers to a 113-101 win at the Staples Center.

Jake Paul Rounds Up Next Fight, Will Face Tommy Fury

The YouTuber looks to keep his unbeaten streak in the ring alive, announcing Friday that he will face Tommy Fury, the brother of two-time WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. In addition to the bout, the fighters have a bet that Fury will have to change his name to Fumbles if he loses. The showdown will take place on Dec. 18 in Tampa and will be available on Showtime pay-per-view.

Harden Steps Up as Nets Beat Pacers, 105-98

James Harden was in the zone on Friday, scoring 29 as Brooklyn beat Indiana at Barclays 105-98. LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points, including a critical nine in the fourth quarter to hold onto the win, and became only the 48th player in 75 years of the NBA to score 20,000 points. 

Greg Norman Set to Serve as Commissioner of Saudi-backed LIV Tour

The 66-year old golf legend announced on Friday that he will serve as the CEO and commissioner of the global tour, which is making strides to compete with the PGA TOUR. It has received a $200 million investment from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which last week purchased the Newcastle United Football Club.

Kevin Durant, Will Smith Among Investors in Electric Boat Company, Arc

The makers of an all-electric boat, which sells for $300,000, announced on Friday that they successfully completed a recent round of fundraising, bringing their total to $7 million. The funds will help strategic visioning and were backed by Will Smith, Kevin Durant, and Rich Kleiman’s Thirty Five Ventures, and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
