Spotify Posts Worst Day Since 2023 Despite Strong Subscriber Growth
Spotify‘s stock closed the day down roughly 11.5% on Tuesday, its worst day since July 2023, after falling short of expectations in its quarterly report. While revenue did rise 10% year-over-year, the €4.19 billion ($4.86 billion) mark came in slightly below Wall Street’s projection of €4.27 billion. However, Spotify still reported strong growth, with the paying subscriber count increasing 12% from a year ago to 276 million, while the number of monthly active users rose to 696 million from a year ago, an 11% boost.

Nike Unveils Kobe Bryant-Branded Away Kits for FC Barcelona
The long-awaited Nike collaboration between the late Kobe Bryant and FC Barcelona was unveiled on Tuesday, fusing the Mamba mentality into the club’s 2025-26 away kit. This marks the first time that Bryant’s signature Sheath logo will appear on a professional soccer jersey, while the collection also features co-branded apparel, Air Force 1 Protro, Kobe 4 Protro, and a recovery slide. The team will debut the away kit against FC Seoul in a preseason match on Thursday.
Las Vegas Reportedly Tapped for 2026 FIFA World Cup Draw
The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, collectively hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will be held in Las Vegas, according to ESPN. The report states that the decision was made after venues in both Mexico and Canada were ruled out for the expanded tournament that will feature 48 teams for the first time ever. The draw will reportedly take place on Dec. 5, with The Sphere labeled as the frontrunner to host the event.
Apple, JPMorgan In ‘Advanced Talks’ on Credit Card Deal
Apple‘s credit card program may be headed to JPMorgan Chase, according to the Wall Street Journal. The two are reportedly in “advanced talks” and “have been negotiating since early last year” after the previous card partner, Goldman Sachs, made the decision to offload the program. However, the WSJ report warned that the deal “hasn’t been signed, and there are chances that talks could unravel.” Currently, the program has roughly $20 billion in balances through Goldman.
Kering Hit by Luxury Slowdown as Gucci Revenue Falls 25%
Kering becomes the latest brand to feel the effects of what appears to be a luxury slowdown, reporting a 46% decline in net profit for the first half of 2025. This was largely due to the fact that Gucci sales, which make up roughly half of Kering’s revenue, fell 25% in the quarter to €1.46 billion.
Waymo Teams Up with Avis to Bring autonomous Cars to Dallas Next Year
Waymo is further expanding its reach and confirmed Tuesday that a new fleet of autonomous vehicles is coming to Dallas next year. The Alphabet-owned company will work with Avis Budget Group, calling on the rental car group to manage general depot operations, including charging and maintaining the Jaguar I-Pace vehicles. Once the service is active, riders will be able to call a robotaxi through the Waymo app.

Sunday’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 final between England and Spain made history as the most-watched women’s soccer game in U.S. television history, attracting 1.35 million viewers. The live telecast on Fox peaked between 2:30-2:45 p.m. ET with 1.92 million locked in to watch the Lionesses become back-to-back champions. This marks a 53% jump from the 2022 final between England and Germany, which recorded 885,000 viewers on ESPN.

Forthcoming sports flick Goat just added more superstars to its already A-list lineup.
