Sir David Backham has long had a passion for beekeeping. Now, the soccer legend and co-owner of Inter Miami is turning that hobby into his latest business venture with the launch of BEEUP, a line of kid-approved fruit snacks. Beckham is teaming up with Shaun Neff, the co-founder of brand incubator Beach House Group, on the gummy snack endeavor. The snack arrives in three flavors (very berry, tropical mix, and sour watermelon) and is available at Target stores nationwide. 

It’s a celebration for Sabrina Carpenter. The pop star’s single off her forthcoming album Man’s Best Friend, “Manchild,” has officially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a first for Carpenter. While Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” track off of her Grammy-winning Short n’ Sweet project did spend a week in the top spot last summer, the song debuted at No. 2. “Manchild” marks her fourth top 10 hit on the Hot 100 in her career.

Kering is looking to open a new chapter. The luxury fashion umbrella, which boasts Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen in its portfolio, announced that Luca de Meo will take over as CEO, beginning in September. Francois-Henri Pinault revealed that he will step down from the position while maintaining his role as chairman, citing his belief that the company was “ready for a new stage in its development.” De Meo comes to Kering from Renault, where he ushered the car brand into the electric era. Kering’s stock rose 12% in response to the news.

This weekend’s box office belonged to How to Train Your Dragon, as the live-action rendition of DreamWorks Animation‘s title of the same name recorded a series-best $83.7 million domestically and $197.8 million worldwide. This pushes Lilo & Stitch to second place, with approximately $15.5 million domestically and an additional $31.1 million overseas. A24 rom-com Materialists sits in third with an impressive $12 million.

Homecoming, Paul Riveria and Rich Paul’s new media platform, is set to unveil its latest production – a three-part docuseries that follows the top Klutch Sports Group prospects in the final days leading up to the 2025 NBA Draft. Draft Class: Klutch Basketball 2025 will feature prospects Khaman Maluach, Adou Thiero, Walter Clayton Jr., Will Riley, as well as NBA greats LeBron James, Draymond Green, and Dwayne Wade working alongside them. Kith and Wilson are back at it again with a new collection. Called “Quiet Please,” the campaign nods to the unspoken rules and respectful intensity of tennis, especially when a player is serving. Pieces include co-branded polos, cardigans, rackets, headgear, carryalls, and other tennis essentials. The full capsule drops on Friday at 11 a.m. ET.

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter VI officially debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 this week, earning 108,000 equivalent album units in its first week of sales. This becomes the rapper’s 13th top 10-charting project, with all under thTha Carter collection peaking at No. 1 or No. 2.

Mattel and OpenAI are teaming up to develop AI-powered products and experiences based on Mattel’s brands. The first output is expected to be announced later this year, with the companies stating that they will prioritize safety, privacy, and security in any products that come to market.

England captain and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has released an off-pitch lifestyle collection with Skechers. The namesake line features his take on the Skechers’ lifestyle silhouettes, the Koopa and UNO, now made with premium-grade leather and colorways that honor Kane’s trophy-winning debut season with Bayern. Tubi has acquired the rights to Zero Star: The Cam Ward Story, which will unpack how Ward went from an unknown high school player to a star on the Miami Hurricanes team and eventually became the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Premiering in September, the program includes archival footage, behind-the-scenes exclusives, and interviews with Ward, his family, coaches, teachers, and teammates.

Clubs in the Women’s Super League in the UK voted to expand from 12 to 14 teams for the 2026-27 season; however, the risk of relegation remains the same. At the end of next season, the top two teams from the second-tier WSL 2 will automatically be promoted. Moving forward, there will be one automatic relegation spot from the league and one automatic promotion spot. Also, the club in third place from the WSL 2 will compete in a play-off with the WSL’s bottom side for a chance at top-flight competition.
