Napheesa Collier is officially a Jordan Brand athlete, just in time for the Minnesota Lynx to tip off the 2025 WNBA season against the Dallas Wings on Friday night. The reigning league Defensive Player of the Year said joining the storied company is an honor because “it connects my performance on the court with impact that extends far beyond the game itself.” Previously signed with Nike, the Unrivaled co-founder hopes to inspire young girls to “aim higher than they thought possible” through this new partnership.

Deliver Me From Nowhere, the Bruce Springsteen biopic starring The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, is set to hit theaters later this year on Oct. 24. The 20th Century Studios film is an adaptation of Warren Zanes’ book of the same name that chronicles Springsteen’s making of Nebraska, considered by many to be his most personal album.

OBB Media and popular content creator iShowSpeed are joining forces on a YouTube program where the streamer will face off against some of sport’s biggest stars. Called Speed Goes Pro, it’s the first-ever premium continuous program on his page, produced with DICK’S Sporting Goods as part of a multi-year ambassador deal between Speed and the company. Speed, who was named Streamer of the Year at the 2024 Streamer Awards, has nearly 40 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Those unable to make the trek to New York City to see Good Night, and Good Luck in person are, in fact, in luck. The Tony-nominated Broadway production is airing its penultimate performance live on CNN on June 7 at 7 p.m. ET. Starring George Clooney, the highest-grossing play for a single week in Broadway history wraps up its theatrical run with a matinee performance on June 8. 

WWD reported Friday that Loewe’s new co-creative directors, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, will present their inaugural collection for the Spanish luxury fashion brand during Paris Fashion Week in October. While no further details on what to expect from the show design-wise, the looks will be for the Spring 2026 collection.

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian is furthering his commitment to women’s sports by purchasing a minority stake in Chelsea FC’s women’s team and joining the board. According to The Athletic, Ohanian’s £20 million ($26 million) investment for a 10% stake in the English club now values it at £245 million ($326 million). Ohanian, who is also a part of the Angel City FC ownership group alongside his wife Serena Williams, will be given a seat on Chelsea’s board as part of the deal.

Charter Communications and Cox Communications confirmed Friday that they have agreed to merge, effectively creating one of the largest domestic internet and television providers. The deal values Cox at about $34.5 billion, with both sides arguing that this move would help them square up against rivals, including “larger, national broadband companies” in addition to satellite service providers.

Coach Prime is coming to Netflix, as the streaming service announced that sports legend Deion Sanders will be the subject of a new series chronicling his rise from a two-sport pro phenom to a culture-defining coach and media personality. Expect Sanders to open up about personal matters, including his relationship with his biological father and near-death health scares. All three 60-minute episodes of PRIME TIME will premiere in 2026.

In the latest development in the battle between Apple and Epic Games, Fortnite‘s iOS App Store resubmission application has been denied by Apple. “Now, sadly, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple unblocks it,” Fortnite wrote. Fortnite hasn’t been in the App Store since 2020, when it was pulled after updating its software to skirt Apple’s commissions. Epic Games applied for re-entry into the store last week after a judge ruled that Apple could not charge for purchases made outside an iOS app.
