King Richard Takes Its Place Among Oscar Front Runners

Tonight marks Hollywood’s greatest night, as its biggest stars gather for the 94th Annual Oscars. King Richard is up for five awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor, Will Smith. Boardroom teamed up with FanDuel to bring you all the betting odds for tonight’s action, helping to make the viewing experience just a little more exciting. We also caught up with the show’s producer, Will Packer, in advance of the event, which will be the first time in history it is will have a pair of Black producers.

2Pac Leads Sotheby’s 2022 Hip-Hop Auction

Timeless pieces of hip hop history are set to auction. Sotheby’s is in the midst of its annual hip-hop auction and this year’s collection includes priceless gems. Among the list of items includes an iconic full-length fur that Biz Markie from his personal collection, a Fab 5 Freddy record with custom Keith Herring art, and a notebook that contains poetry from a young 2Pac, which is expected to bring in over $300,000.

One popular collection, Cool Cats, secured Creative Artist Agency for representation as the NFT collection considers its next moves. Cool Cats joins Bored Ape Yacht Club, CryptoPunks, and World of Women in securing official reps, who can negotiate the use of the kitties as animated content, brand deals, publishing, and more.

Charizard Card Goes for $420K at  PWCC March Premier Auction

Charizard is one of the most popular characters in the world of Pokémon. This week, one collector grabbed the diamond of the extensive Charizard catalogue, a 1999 Pokémon Base Set Shadowless 1st Edition Holo Charizard card with a PSA 10 Gem Mint rating. While there are 3,000 of these cards in production, only 121 have the coveted 10 rating. The card, which sold at the PWCC March Premier Auction, sold for a record-setting $420,000.

Donald Glover Reveals Inside Details about Atlanta Season 3

The cast of Atlanta is headed to Europe this season. After four years, the show returned to the airways this week for the third season premiere. Donald Glover’s masterpiece has drawn critical acclaim. Following Thursday’s premiere Glover is on the media circuit to celebrate the penultimate season. Glover indicated that Ryan Gosling was set to make a cameo, but schedules wouldn’t allow it. He also revealed that Malia Obama served in the writers’ room of his upcoming show, calling her “amazingly talented.”

Ally Love Lands Dance Deal with Netflix

Ally Love is bringing her signature hosting talents to Netflix. The Peloton instructor and Brooklyn Nets arena host has inked a deal with the streaming service to serve as the host of its new competition show, Dance 100. The show will bring together the most promising talent to find the next best choreographer. It will also feature 100 of the world’s best dancers. Pre-production began back in 2020 before the pandemic shut everything down. Despite the delay, the show is set to begin shooting soon.
