Post Malone will perform at halftime of the Cowboys–Chiefs game, helping kick off The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. The day wraps up in Baltimore, where Lil Jon headlines the Ravens–Bengals halftime show and Renée Elise Goldsberry sings the national anthem.
Ariana Grande to Host, Cher to Perform on Christmas ‘SNL’ Episode
Ariana Grande will host the Christmas episode of Saturday Night Live on Dec. 20, marking her third time as host and fifth overall appearance on the show. She’ll be joined by Cher, who returns as musical guest for the first time since 1987. The preceding episodes include Josh O’Connor hosting with Lily Allen as musical guest on Dec. 13, and Melissa McCarthy hosting with Dijon on Dec. 6.
Cade Cunningham to Get Signature Shoe in New Nike Deal
Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham has inked a new six-year deal with Nike and will become one of the six active NBA players with his own signature sneaker with the brand, joining LeBron James, Ja Morant, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The shoe is expected to debut in the latter half of the 2026-27 season. “I haven’t really grasped it yet. … Dream come true,” Cunningham told Kevin Durant in Boardroom’s latest Cover Story.
The Met Reveals Next Costume Institute Theme
The Met’s Costume Institute has announced “Costume Art” as the theme for its 2026 exhibition, which will explore the intersection of Western art and fashion through their shared relationship with the human body. The show will run from May 10, 2026, to Jan. 10, 2027, in the new 12,000-square-foot Condé M. Nast Galleries, the permanent home for future Costume Institute exhibitions. The 2026 Met Gala will take place on May 4, with a dress code yet to be announced, but likely tied to the exhibition’s theme.
Jeff Bezos Reportedly Returns to C-Suite with New AI Startup
Jeff Bezos is reportedly taking on his first formal executive role since stepping down as CEO of Amazon, becoming co-CEO of a new AI startup called Project Prometheus. Per The New York Times, the company is launching with an enormous $6.2 billion in funding, partly from Bezos, making it one of the best-funded early-stage start-ups ever. He will lead the company alongside Vik Bajaj, a former Google X leader known for working with Google co-founder Sergey Brin on ambitious projects, such as Waymo.
Anthony Joshua Steps In to Fight Jake Paul Next Month
Anthony Joshua, the former two-time unified heavyweight champion, will face YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in an eight-round professional bout on Dec. 19 at Miami’s Kaseya Center. The bout will be streamed on Netflix. Joshua boasts a 28-4 (25 KOs) record with 12 years of experience, while Paul, who turned pro in 2020, holds a 12-1 record. Paul was initially set to fight Gervonta Davis on Nov. 14 before it was called off earlier this month.

MLS Expected to End Apple Partnership Early in 2029
Initially meant to run through 2032, MLS is ending its streaming partnership with Apple three and a half years early in 2029, according to Sportico. The development follows the league’s decision to transition to Apple TV in 2026 and the shift of the league calendar from summer to spring the next year. Under the revised deal, MLS will get $200M for 2026, $107.5M for the shortened 2027 season, and $275M each for 2027-28 and 2028-29, averaging $250M for the three full seasons, roughly $50M more than the original deal. Apple has also waived its option to terminate the agreement after 2027.
Amazon, Ford Team Up in Used Car Partnership
Ford is coming to Amazon as part of a new deal between the companies that will allow the former’s franchised dealerships to sell pre-owned vehicles through its site. Customers will now be able to start paperwork and secure financing through the new program. This is the second partnership Amazon has formed with an automaker, following its 2023 agreement with Hyundai.
