Amazon Web Services (AWS) and OpenAI have entered into a $38 billion, multi-year partnership, in which OpenAI will use AWS’s large-scale cloud infrastructure to run and expand its AI workloads. The deal includes access to hundreds of thousands of Nvidia GPUs, with potential scaling to tens of millions of CPUs by 2027. AWS’s advanced infrastructure, featuring optimized GPU clusters and low-latency networking, will power both ChatGPT and future OpenAI models, combining AWS’s cloud expertise with OpenAI’s generative AI innovation.
Jon Stewart Signs ‘Daily Show’ Extension Through December 2026
Jon Stewart has signed another one-year deal to continue as host and executive producer of The Daily Show through December 2026. This marks his third consecutive yearly extension since returning in early 2024. Stewart will keep hosting Monday episodes alongside correspondents Ronny Chieng, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, and Josh Johnson, who cover the rest of the week.
Jeezy Makes History with Largest Orchestra Ever for a Hip-Hop Concert
Jeezy made history by performing with 101 orchestra musicians at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas over the weekend, earning a Guinness World Record for the largest orchestra ever assembled for a hip-hop concert. NBA Take-Two Media, the joint venture between the NBA and Take-Two Interactive, is relaunching the NBA 2K League with a new focus on content creators. Led by YouTuber Jesser as honorary commissioner and a celebrity board, the revamped league will blend gaming, entertainment, and real-world challenges. The reboot launches with six teams – the Celtics, Pistons, Grizzlies, Raptors, Jazz, and Wizards – each pairing an NBA star with a content creator to compete in both NBA 2K gameplay and real-life competitions.

Viewership peaked at 31.54 million between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m. EDT. The early ratings represent a 10% increase over the 23.19 million viewers who watched the last Game 7, when the Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros in 2019.
Tylenol Maker Kenvue Acquired for $40B by Kimberley-Clark
Kimberly-Clark announced Monday it will acquire Tylenol maker Kenvue in a cash-and-stock deal valuing Kenvue at roughly $48.7 billion. The merger will create a global consumer products powerhouse with 10 billion-dollar brands reaching nearly half the world’s population. The deal, financed through cash, new debt, and asset sale proceeds, is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals.
TikTok Announces Inaugural U.S. Awards Show with Creator Honors
TikTok is launching its first-ever U.S. awards show, featuring categories like Creator of the Year, Video of the Year, and Breakthrough Artist of the Year. The live event will be held on Dec. 18 at the Hollywood Palladium, with red-carpet moments, performances, and a live audience. It will be livestreamed on TikTok and Tubi, and will be available on demand on Tubi the following day. Voting for nominees on TikTok opens on Nov. 18.
Assata Shakur’s Story to Be Told in Upcoming Documentary
Filmmakers Giselle and Stephen Bailey are developing a documentary feature and scripted project about late political activist Assata Shakur, also known as Joanne Chesimard. Shakur, a former Black Liberation Army member and fugitive since 1979, passed away on Sept. 25 in Havana at age 78. The projects, authorized by her daughter Kakuya Shakur and produced through Indigo Films, include exclusive access granted by Shakur’s former lawyer, Lennox Hinds, with Angela Davis serving as executive producer. The doc is supported by Sundance, Firelight Media, the Concordia Fellowship, and Chicken & Egg Films.
Barcelona Taps Amiri as Official Formalwear Partner
Los Angeles designer Mike Amiri’s brand, Amiri, has become the official formalwear partner of FC Barcelona. The deal covers custom suits for the club’s men’s and women’s teams, as well as executives. The designs feature navy and garnet tones with tailored overcoats, pinstriped suits, and personalized shirts. Amiri replaces previous partners Thom Browne and Herno, marking the first time FC Barcelona has had an official formalwear partnership.
Issa Rae Joins Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen on Comedy Cast
Lauren Miller Rogen’s second feature, Babies, has added Issa Rae, Dan Stevens, Zach Cherry, and Kate Berlant to its cast. Miller Rogen wrote and is directing the film for AGC Studios and Monarch Media. Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen star as a couple navigating parenthood while hosting a newly-divorced friend and her 4-year-old in their home. The film will shoot on location in Los Angeles with the support of the California Tax Credit.
