World No. 1 Jannik Sinner is headed back to the Wimbledon final after a commanding straight-sets win over seven-time champion Novak Djokovic. The defending champion has now won 17 consecutive sets at this year’s tournament and will face Alexander Zverev on Sunday with a chance to add a second straight Wimbledon title and fifth Grand Slam championship to his resume. The women’s championship match is set for Saturday, with Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova competing for the Wimbledon crown.

The 37th annual celebrity golf tournament returns to Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course with more than 80 athletes and entertainers competing for a $750,000 purse while supporting charitable causes. The music industry is introducing new labels to identify recordings made with artificial intelligence. Backed by groups including the RIAA, IFPI, Grammys, and SAG-AFTRA, the voluntary system distinguishes between “AI-generated” tracks and “AI-assisted” works where humans remain the primary creators. The labels aim to provide fans with greater transparency as AI-made music becomes more common across streaming platforms, with services like Deezer reporting a surge in AI-generated tracks.

Disney’s live-action Moana opened with $4.5 million in Thursday previews as it sets sail for its theatrical debut. Directed by Thomas Kail and starring Dwayne Johnson, the remake is targeting a $40 million-$60 million domestic opening, though early reviews have been mixed. Department M has acquired a majority stake in indie powerhouse Neon, giving the Oscar-winning studio new capital to expand its operations and launch Neon TV. SK Hynix made its Nasdaq debut Friday, opening at $170 per share as U.S. investors gained access to one of the world’s leading memory chip makers. The South Korean company raised $26.5 billion through its listing as it expands production to meet surging AI demand. Chairman Chey Tae-won said demand for high-bandwidth memory used in AI systems, including Nvidia chips, remains “enormous” as the industry enters a new growth phase.

Curry Barker’s breakout horror romance Obsession is heading to Peacock on July 17 after becoming a surprise box office hit. The Focus Features release has earned more than $400 million globally, including nearly $250 million domestically, after opening with $17.1 million in May. The film’s success marks a major theatrical win for the low-budget production and continues Barker’s rise following his viral filmmaking roots.

Disney+ President Alisa Bowen is leaving Disney to become CEO of Fubo, replacing co-founder David Gandler. The move comes after Fubo’s merger with Disney’s Hulu + Live TV, positioning Bowen to lead the combined platform’s next phase across sports, news, and entertainment. Bowen brings a decade of Disney experience, including helping build Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, as Fubo looks to accelerate growth and profitability.
