In their inaugural season in the WNBA, the Golden State Valkyries sit at the top of Sportico’s 2025 team valuations list at $500 million, with the reigning champions, the New York Liberty, not far behind in second ($420 million). Rounding out the top five are the Indiana Fever ($335 million), Las Vegas Aces ($290 million), and the Seattle Storm ($285 million). The average franchise value is now up to $269 million, up from $96 million in 2024, marking a 180% year-over-year increase.

Paige Bueckers, NFL receiver Keon Coleman, and rapper Larry June are the stars of a new campaign from Levi’s and Nike, with both storied brands joining forces on an apparel collection. Products include a baggy pair of jeans and a denim jacket with subtle Swoosh branding, accompanied by footwear featuring the Air Max 95 remixed in three denim-inspired colorways. The Levi’s x Nike capsule drops July 10 on the Levi’s website and July 11 on the SNKRS app.

Roberto Cavalli is the latest designer brand to link up with Kim Kardashian’s shapewear and clothing line, Skims, this time on a collection of swimwear. Pieces merge the Italian house’s use of exotic, archival prints (Fagianella, Light Zebra, and Tiger Face) with Skims’ sculpted silhouettes. This isn’t the first partnership Skims has formed with a luxury brand, previously linking with Dolce & Gabbana in 2024. It also recently teamed up with Nike on a new co-branded line, though that collaboration has reportedly been delayed due to production issues.

According to ESPN, director and filmmaker Wes Anderson inspired the network’s recently launched tennis campaign ahead of Wimbledon. Titled “Quiet Please,” ESPN cited Anderson’s “signature use of symmetry, curated color palettes, and purposeful composition” as inspiration for the brand’s storytelling around the annual tournament it’s been televising since 2003. Featured within the campaign are tennis stars Coco Gauff, Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton, Jessica Pegula, Aryna Sabalenka, Frances Tiafoe, and more.

Xbox is teaming up with Meta on a limited-edition Xbox-branded version of the Meta Quest 3S. The virtual reality headset features 128GB of built-in storage and a custom color scheme of carbon black and velocity green. Retailing for $399.99, the bundle also comes with an elite strap, a limited-edition Xbox wireless controller, and three months each of Meta Horizon+ and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

At long last, we’re getting a co-headlining tour from Brandy and Monica. Over twenty-five years after the release of their hit single “The Boy Is Mine,” the R&B singers announced Tuesday they’re hitting the road on a 24-city arena run. It kicks off Oct. 16 in Cincinnati, making stops in St. Louis, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Brooklyn before concluding Dec. 7 in Houston. Joining them are Grammy winner Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and 2025 American Idol winner Jamal Roberts.

Maria Taylor and Grant Hill are joining NBC SportsNBA coverage this fall, with Taylor being named the lead studio host and Hill signing on as a game analyst. Taylor, who became the first full-time female host when she began leading Football Night in America on NBC, will also host the network’s WNBA studio show. The duo joins a stacked NBA on NBC lineup that includes Michael Jordan, Reggie Miller, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and more for its first year of an 11-year media rights pact with the NBA.

Comedian Shane Gillis will officially host this year’s ESPYs, ESPN confirmed Tuesday. Creator and star of the Netflix show Tires, Gillis is currently on the road headlining an international stand-up tour spanning nearly 40 cities. He also recently starred in a Super Bowl ad with Post Malone and Peyton Manning and appeared in an Under Armour spot for Notre Dame ahead of the CFP National Championship. The 2025 ESPYs will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 16 on ABC and stream live on ESPN+.

The All England Club plans to celebrate Sir Andy Murray’s contribution to tennis with a statue of him at Wimbledon. The retired pro famously ended Britain’s 77-year drought for a men’s singles champion at Wimbledon with a memorable victory against Novak Djokovic in 2013, winning a second time in 2016. Murray will be “very involved” in the design process, and the sculpture will be unveiled in 2027, the 150th anniversary of the grass court tournament.

ESPN shared that an average of 16.35 million viewers watched the Oklahoma City Thunder defeat the Indiana Pacers to win the franchise’s first championship on Sunday, with a peak of 19.28 million viewers, making it the most-watched NBA Finals game in six years. On the flip side, the entire seven-game series averaged 10,266,000 viewers, down from last year’s 11.3 million average between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks.
