Ahead of the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, arguably two GOATS in their respective sports are teaming up for the next chapter of the Adidas You Got This campaign. Featuring Patrick Mahomes and Lionel Messi battling it out on the treadmill, the spot is part of a series of videos that Adidas hopes will “help disarm negative pressure in sport.” Other athletes who previously appeared in the campaign include Aitana Bonmatí, Aliyah Boston, Anthony Edwards, Lamine Yamal, and Trinity Rodman.
Netflix Renews David Letterman’s ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’
Netflix and David Letterman are continuing their relationship, with the platform extending the TV host’s series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction for two more seasons. The program won the Emmy for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special last year and is expected to compete in the same category in this year’s ceremony. Season 6 premieres later this year.
Stormzy Gets Into Production Game, Launches #Merky Films
Stormzy is the latest celebrity to jumpstart his own production arm, launching #Merky Films on Thursday. The British rapper also revealed that he will be starring in the company’s debut feature, Big Man, which is being produced in association with Apple and directed by Aneil Karia, who won an Oscar in 2022 for his short film The Long Goodbye. The movie, shot entirely on an iPhone, is set to be released on YouTube on June 18.
Wimbledon Reveals Record Prize Pool, Singles Champs to Take Home $4M
The total Wimbledon prize money pool increased 7% year-over-year to a record 53.5 million pounds (about $73 million), the All England Club announced Thursday. For the men’s and women’s singles champions, their pay went up 11% from last year to three million pounds ($4 million) each. Even those who fall in the first round of singles play, which kicks off on June 30, will walk away with 66,000 pounds.
Trevor Noah Takes ‘What Now?’ Podcast to SiriusXM
After debuting his What Now? podcast with Spotify in 2023, Trevor Noah is handing over exclusive ad-sales rights to SiriusXM. While the podcast will still be available on Spotify and other platforms such as YouTube and Apple Podcasts, “What Now?” will officially join the SiriusXM Podcast Network on July 1.

50 Cent, G-Unit Film to Produce British Boxing Series for Starz
50 Cent is going international with his G-Unit Film & Television studio, set to produce a new scripted series for Starz called Fightland. The show is set and will be shot in London, with production for the British boxing drama expected to begin later this fall. While this is the first time G-Unit Film will work on an international film, 50 Cent has had a handful of hits at Starz through the Power franchise.
Grammy Awards Add New Country Categories, Best Cover Art
The Recording Academy revealed a slew of new rules and categories for next year’s Grammy Awards, announced Thursday to take place on Feb. 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Among them is the introduction of the Best Traditional Country Album category, while amending the current one to Best Contemporary Country Album. The Academy is also adding a Best Cover Art category.
Coinbase Reveals Credit Card, Partners with American Express
Coinbase is teaming up with American Express for the launch of its new credit card, the Coinbase One Card, adding it to the American Express Network. The company made the announcement at its State of Crypto Conference on Thursday. The card, which will offer up to 4% Bitcoin back on every purchase, will be available to Coinbase One members this fall.
Rolling Loud Music Festival Adds India to Lineup
With successful editions already held in eight other countries, Rolling Loud is set to take its high-powered music festival to India next. No dates, lineup, or venue has been selected for the two-day Mumbai event yet. In addition to the U.S. and Canada, Rolling Loud has also visited Australia, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Austria.
